Chelsea will travel to Sunderland looking for tenth consecutive victory and moving six points away from the competition.

Chelsea didn’t impress against WBA in the last round, but one moment of Diego Costa’s brilliance was enough to break the Baggies’ stand and collect another three points.
This victory was even more important as City and Liverpool slipped against Leicester and West Ham and with yesterday’s Arsenal defeat against Everton, Conte’s men have an opportunity to move six points away from Arsenal who have to travel to Etihad on the MD17.
It will be a competition of two most valuable forwards of the league according to the Premier League Fantasy as Costa scored twelve and assisted for five more goals, while Defoe netted eight times and recorded two assists. Interesting fact about Costa and Defoe is that they share a birthday – October 7, but Defoe is six years older.
Sunderland are back at the bottom, but the situation is much better than couple of weeks ago. The Black Cats have recorded three wins in the last five rounds and despite they’re currently sitting in the 20th place, they’re just two points away from the safe zone so there’s no room for panic at Stadium of Light.
“We were on a good run and we wanted to keep it going. It wasn’t to be. We’re now back at home and we’ll try to pick points up. People will try and find a way of beating Chelsea’s system, but it’s not just the system – they have real quality players. If we can get an atmosphere like last season against Chelsea it will give us every chance, and it would be terrific”, said David Moyes.
Head to Head
The last game between the two teams at the Stadium of Light ended 3-2 win for the Black Cats. Sunderland are now unbeaten in the last two home Premier League games against Chelsea, but the Blues were victorious in the nine consecutive visits to Sunderland prior to that.
