Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has refused to compare Phil Jones to Chelsea captain John Terry, but has backed the former to get back into the England set-up.

Jones joined Manchester United back in 2011 from Blackburn Rovers, arriving with a reputation as one of England’s brightest young defenders.
That proved to be the case during his two years playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, but since the Scotsman’s departure Jones has struggled with a series of injuries.
The 24-year-old has managed just 44 appearances across all competitions for Manchester United over the last three seasons.
However, Jones has managed to get himself back into the first-team fold of late and has steered clear of injuries, playing the full 90 minutes in the last five league games for Mourinho’s side.
“They are different, so different,” Mourinho said, reports the Daily Express. “Jones is fast. John is amazing in the air. They are not players to compare. It is not even fair to compare a player with such a career like John with such a young guy like Phil who has been punished by so many injuries over the last couple of years.
“I prefer to say Jones is doing this season much better this season than in the last two and he is giving hope to everyone that he can be back to normality and, who knows, be back to the national team, be a firm choice at Manchester United because he is doing very well.”
